Camouflet held its annual charity gala tonight at the Jonathan Club of Los Angeles. This year’s event was particularly meaningful, as Camouflet announced a major initiative in support of LGBTQ+ youth, with proceeds benefiting The Trevor Project, It Gets Better, and the Point Foundation.
The theme of the evening was purple, a color associated with both Camouflet’s brand identity and the broader LGBTQ+ movement. Inspired by the “Wear Purple for Pride” initiative, the evening’s color scheme was a deliberate nod to solidarity, resilience, and the power of visibility.
The night included a charitable auction, exclusive performances by local queer artists, and personal stories from LGBTQ+ leaders who have benefited from advocacy initiatives. Funds raised will be directed toward mental health resources, suicide prevention efforts, and career mentorship programs for LGBTQ+ youth, ensuring they have access to the opportunities and support systems they deserve.

A highlight of the evening was the announcement of Camouflet’s continued commitment to philanthropy, with Radwell sharing his personal connection to LGBTQ+ advocacy. “Strength isn’t just about surviving,” he remarked. “It’s about lifting others up so they can thrive.”
“It’s been a successful evening so far, and we’re just getting started. This cause is deeply personal to me. LGBTQ+ youth are eight times more likely to attempt suicide, with transgender youth at the highest risk. I was once a lost queer teenager who thought he had no future, who believed he was unlovable, and that maybe ending his life was the only way to stop the pain. Mental illness lingers in ways we don’t always see, in ways that haunt us long after. But seeing this room filled with people committed to uplifting LGBTQ youth reminds me that none of us are truly alone. Thank you all for being here tonight," said Jeff Radwell, founder of Camouflet, addressing the crowd at the gala.
The work doesn’t stop when the evening ends. Your support can change lives by providing resources, mentorship, and crisis intervention for LGBTQ+ youth who need it most. If you feel moved to take action, consider making a donation to one of these incredible organizations:
It Gets Better – Uplifting and empowering LGBTQ+ youth through storytelling and community building.
The Trevor Project – Providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ young people.
Point Foundation – Offering scholarships and mentorship to LGBTQ+ students.
Every contribution helps create a safer, more hopeful future. Thank you for your support.
Moving forward with pride,
The Camouflet Team
